Presenter Bio Linda Tellington-Jones

Linda Tellington-Jones is an internationally acclaimed horsewoman, educator, and visionary whose groundbreaking Tellington TTouch® Method has transformed how humans connect with and care for animals. Rooted in the philosophy that every being—human and animal—is a reflection of a Divine Whole, Linda’s approach blends respect, compassion, and cooperation with practical, science-informed techniques that enhance trust, balance, nervous-system regulation, and well-being—without force or fear.

First developed in the 1970s as the Tellington TTEAM® Method for horses, her work pioneered the integration of cellular intelligence, nervous‑system regulation, and whole‑brain learning into equine training—long before these concepts were widely considered viable for horses. By combining gentle, mindful bodywork with unique groundwork patterns and specialized equipment, the Method helps horses achieve physical, mental, and emotional balance, fostering self-carriage, reducing tension, improving coordination, and building a deep foundation of mutual trust.

Linda’s influence extends far beyond the arena. Her techniques have been embraced by Olympic riders, veterinarians, therapeutic riding centers, zoos, and wildlife rehabilitation programs in more than 40 countries with thousands of practitioners. She is the founder of Animal Ambassadors International®, a nonprofit that fosters kindness, empathy, and cross-cultural understanding through animal care. Linda has authored 28 books—translated into 17 languages— selling nearly one million copies, and produced numerous instructional videos, empowering horse lovers and caretakers across the globe.

In 2019, Linda was honored with the Torch‑Bearer Award for Peace—recognized by Sri Chinmoy’s Oneness-Home Peace Run—for her lifelong devotion to developing a heart‑based method that nurtures a unique, peaceful connection between animals and people

Whether working with elite athletes, rescue horses, or family companions, Linda’s mission remains the same: to inspire a deeper connection between people and animals, grounded in empathy, cooperation, and mutual respect. For participants of the Art of the Horseman Online Fair, she brings a profound legacy of innovation and heartfelt inspiration—illustrating what’s possible when we truly listen to and learn from our equine partners.

Because Of The Horse...

I have been blessed to create a new form of communication between horse and rider that results in a Heart to Heart, Cell to Cell, and Soul to Soul connection that has spread around the world.  Anyone can benefit from  integrating parts of it, regardless of breed or discipline.

Starting Right or Starting Over: Educating Your Horse with the Tellington Method (Part 1)

When we start a young horse, or give an older one a second chance, the way we approach those first steps can shape everything that follows. With the Tellington Method, I’ve found that even the smallest details, how we handle, how we listen, how we support balance, can turn fear into confidence and resistance into cooperation. In this session, I’ll share the tools and experiences that have helped countless horses begin their journey, or begin again, with trust, softness, and a true willingness to learn.

DAY 2

Refining the Details: Tellington TTouch Techniques and Chestline Driving Made Simple

This session builds on the foundation of our Starting Right or Starting Over presentation by taking a closer look at the details of key Tellington TTouch® techniques. We’ll also break down the practical steps of chest line driving, a gentle, effective way to guide and influence a horse’s balance and focus without force. Whether you are starting a young horse or re-educating an experienced one, these tools offer a simple, reliable framework to improve communication, confidence, and cooperation.
