Anna Twinney: Where Whispers Become Wisdom
In a world that speaks through force, Anna Twinney listens with her soul. As an internationally recognized equine behaviorist, animal communicator, and Holy FireĀ® Karuna Reiki Master, she has spent nearly three decades revolutionizing how we connect with horsesāand ourselves.
Born in England and raised among military communities in Germany, Anna's path took an extraordinary turn from British Police Officer to world-renowned horse whisperer. Her journey began with a sacred prayer: "Show me their whisper, so I may become their voice and speak their truth." That prayer has carried her across five continents, through wild herds and healing sanctuaries, transforming over 10,000 individuals and horses worldwide.
Anna's revolutionary Tri-Factor of Truth unites body language mastery, telepathic connection, and energetic resonance into something the equine world had never seen before. Recognized by both British Royalty and the U.S. Government, she became the first female clinician to bring natural horsemanship to China and Mongolia, conducting close to 1,500 clinics and events globally.
For over 30 years, she has championed horse rescue and rehabilitation, gentling more than 1,500 wild horses including famous mustangs like Monty Roberts' Shy Boy and her own Spanish Mustang soulmate, Excalibur. Her groundbreaking collaboration with rescue organizations has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars while giving voice to the voiceless.
At Whispering Feather Farm alongside her husband Vin Mancarella, Anna continues her mission through Reach Out to HorsesĀ® and The Way of the Equine WarriorĀ®āa non-profit serving veterans, first responders, and at-risk youth through equine connection.
Anna goes far beyond traditional horsemanshipāshe awakens a language that exists beyond words, where trauma dissolves and spirits remember their truest form. Her work proves that when we listen deeply enough, whispers become wisdom, and healing becomes inevitable.
"In a world of constant noise, the pause is a radical act of love."
Because of the Horse...
I discovered that my greatest sensitivity was actually my greatest strength, that listening deeper than words could heal wounds I never knew existed, and that when we pause long enough to truly hear another being's whisper, we find our own voice and remember who we were always meant to be.

Just two hearts coming together in trust.
DAY 2
ā Ā Teaching Touch as More than a Tool
When we teach a horse to touch an object, we are empowering them.Ā They become aware that when we present them with a new object, perhaps one of which they are relatively unsure, as they touch it, we honor their try by removing the object, which acts as a form of praise.Ā Thus, we can help teach our horses to explore objects both out in the world and in their immediate vicinity, knowing that nothing is going to chase them or flood them, in full understanding that they are involved in the interaction with and exploration of such foreign objects. Enjoy this lesson from Anna Twinney's popular online program, 101 Things to Do with Your Horse and learn the value of teaching your horse to touch.
ā Ā The Power of the Eyes
Eye contact is perhaps one of the least explored and most poorly understood methods of communicating with our horses.Ā Not only can we thank them, ask them to move or yield, ask them to stop or slow, or turn them, but we can also provide solace and a sense of connection when they are worried.Ā Working with the eyes is definitely a skill that takes conscious awareness, and sometimes it takes a very sensitive horse to help us perfect this particular skill, as often we might find we get it wrong before we get it right, but the horses are grateful when we choose to consciously communicate with our eyes.
