My passion has always been to cultivate meaningful connections between horses and their people. These connections transform not only the partnership, but also the individual. Through quality horsemanship, I strive to create experiences that are inspiring, joyful, and deeply fulfilling, no matter the discipline or type of horse.

Since 1994, I have dedicated my life to teaching and training, guided by the wisdom of extraordinary horses and influential horsemen. Their insights, along with the lessons horses offer us every day, have shaped my belief that true horsemanship begins within. When riders shift their mindset, regulate their emotions, and focus their intentions, they open the door to real growth for themselves and for their horses.

Because of the Horse is my way of sharing this transformative journey with the world. The Online Horse Fair is more than a platform to me. It is a movement. It is a space where inspirational trainers come together to honor the horse and human relationship and help riders align their energy, focus, and presence to create deeper, more authentic connections.

Through the teachings shared at the Fair, my hope is to empower you to reimagine what is possible, stay grounded in the present moment, and grow not only as a rider, but as a person. Horses show us how to release old patterns and step into a new reality built on trust, harmony, and possibility.

I believe riding is far more than mastering technique. It is a journey of self discovery and connection. My approach invites students to look beyond the mechanics of riding and explore the deeper lessons horses teach about presence, awareness, and understanding. Lessons that shape us well beyond the saddle.

“I teach because I want riders to experience what is truly possible,” I often say. “When you pause to understand your horse, what motivates him and what sparks his interest, you begin to see how your own energy, emotions, and mindset shape the partnership. Riding is about feel, communication, and relationship.”

For me, working with horses is a mirror for personal growth. Horses respond to what is happening within us, our thoughts, our emotions, and our intentions. When riders learn to focus, stay present, and align their inner state with their goals, they discover deeper connection not only with their horses, but also with themselves. This journey strengthens self awareness, emotional regulation, and the ability to replace old habits with mindful, intentional action.

My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that when you work with the horse’s mind, the body naturally follows. I tailor my approach to the unique needs of each rider and horse, adapting exercises for any discipline, including eventing, dressage, hunters, jumpers, gymkhana, and everyday riding. My goal is always to create clarity, confidence, and connection through thoughtful, heart centered guidance.

While many of my students have achieved success at local, regional, and national levels, my focus goes far beyond competition. The true reward lies in the journey, cultivating feel, communication, and partnership while uncovering the powerful life lessons horses have to teach.

Through this approach, I aim to help riders create meaningful shifts in both their horsemanship and their personal lives. Horses teach us to be present, to trust the process, and to connect authentically with them and with ourselves. This journey does not just create better riders. It creates better people, opening doors to possibility both in and out of the saddle.

For me, the path to success begins within. When riders learn to align their thoughts, emotions, and intentions, they discover not only the joy of partnership with their horse, but also the deep potential within themselves.
