Paige Lockton is an international equestrian, storyteller, and the creator of The Magic of Horsecraft™—a pioneering blend of classical horsemanship, modern nervous-system science, and the kind of intuitive “woo” that most riders secretly believe in ... but rarely talk about out loud. A former Canadian Equestrian Team rider, Paige was a non-traveling reserve for the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, shortlisted for the 2002 World Equestrian Games on the legendary SpeedAxle, and in 2024 was inducted into the North Bay Sports Hall of Fame as one of the top 25 female athletes of the past century.

But the real story is this:

Paige grew up on a rural veterinary farm in Northern Ontario, where horses became her childhood best friends, her earliest teachers, her constant companions, and—eventually—her life’s compass. She had “the magic” early: that mysterious ability to make horses soften, sigh, and try. And then, through adulthood’s plot twists—bankruptcy, divorce, cancer, injury, and starting over more times than she can count—she lost it… and then found it again, not through grit, but through emotional regulation, HeartMath®, and a completely transformed understanding of how horses actually feel, learn, and relate.

Today, Paige helps aging adult amateur riders reclaim the connection they dreamed of when they first fell in love with horses. Not by teaching them to ride harder, but by teaching them to show up differently—regulated, attuned, informed, and emotionally available. Her work fills in the enormous knowledge gap left by traditional lesson barns: prey-animal behavior, polyvagal science, energy congruence, fascia, feel, and the foundational clarity horses need from humans before riding can ever become effortless.

Part educator, part entertainer, Paige brings humor, vulnerability, science, and soul into everything she does. Her teaching has been described as “a masterclass in nervous-system horsemanship” and “the missing manual adult amateurs never received.” She is currently co-authoring a book with her veterinarian father, developing a documentary on the evolution of Horsecraft™, and traveling across North America on her Begin Again tour, helping riders rediscover trust, possibility, and their own inherent magic.
