Kathy Farrokhzad is the creator and writer of the multiple award-winning site, HorseListening.com, which has served thousands of readers and riders all around the world with hundreds of interesting and informative articles. She is the author of the Horse Listening Collection book series and the Practice Sessions membership site.

Kathy is an Equestrian Canada-certified coach, teaching mainly in the dressage discipline. She has been involved in the equine industry for more than 20 years as a rider, boarder, horse owner, competitor, coach, trainer, and breeder.

Kathy teaches riders how to become more attuned to how the horse moves, how the rider's aids (and position) influence the horse, and how timing and balance can make a huge improvement in the horse's physical and mental well-being. She has a way of simplifying complicated concepts and movements without losing the quality and depth of understanding.

With riding backgrounds encompassing western performance, endurance riding, and competitive trail, natural horsemanship, and most prominently, dressage, she is a well-rounded and open-minded equestrian, always in search of more learning. She happily works with riders from all disciplines and with all breeds of horses.
