Hello! My name is Paula Curtis, and my husband, Jack, and I are the founders of The Art of the Horseman. We've been teaching and training since our teens, inspired by legendary horsemen like Ray Hunt, Buck Brannaman, and Walter Zettl.

But it’s not just about the knowledge; it’s about the right kind of knowledge. When you surround yourself with teachers who embody presence, awareness, and heart-centered principles, the transformation goes far beyond horsemanship. Horses become our greatest teachers, showing us how to let go of limiting patterns, focus on possibilities, and step into our best selves.

Through the Art Of The Horseman, we aim to make this wisdom accessible to everyone. We created the Fair and Membership as a way to bring together the world’s most inspiring trainers, who share not just techniques but also the deeper lessons horses teach about life, connection, and growth.

Our passion is to help horses and their people in a way that is meaningful and transformative. “Because of the horse,” we’ve learned to live more fully, love more deeply, and raise our children in a way that honors the lessons horses bring to our lives.

Because of the horse, we live more aligned, present in the moment, and with greater purpose and connection. These lessons on life brought to us by our favorite horses have made us better people along the way.
