Jill Hendershot Roth

Jill Hendershot Roth has been a student of the horse for over 25 years. Her greatest joy is to bring horses and their humans together. She focuses on the FUNdamentals of horsemanship through knowledge and reverence.
She has B.S. in Psychology and earned her Certificate in Equine Science, a three year program,  in 2018. Jill helped to guide students in their studies as a peer helper (teacher’s assistant) in the Equine Science program at University of Guelph.   She began her personal equine journey in Natural Horsemanship and finds herself being drawn, more and more, towards explorations in communications through thought and energy.  She has practiced the martial arts for over 20 years and was drawn to expand her mind-body connection by studying Equestrian Tai Chi.  As a certified instructor she is delighted to add this modality to her communication tool chest.  She is certified level 2 in Reiki and is a 4th Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do.

She has gleaned a unique perspective on horses through living in seven different states across the US and in British Columbia, Canada.  Jill has volunteered in the administrative, training, and fostering side of horse rescuing.  She currently lives with her wonderful husband and 3 horses on the Paradise Paddock they built in the Pacific Northwest, USA.

Segment 1 Part A - 20 min. 28 sec. Day 1 Horse; Mind, Body Spirit

So, you may be asking, “What is our ‘WE’?”  “WE” is the word I use to express the unique connection between you and your horse.  Segment 1 discusses five key ways to cultivate this amazing connection with your equine friend. We will chat about: putting the relationship ahead of the task, understanding the nuances of what your horse is saying, playing energetically with your horse, co-creating the magic in your shared time and the importance of showing up with an open heart.

Segment 1 Part B - 26 min. 7 sec. Day 2 Horse; Mind, Body Spirit

Perception Is Reality - 22 min. 2 sec. Day 1 Horse; Mind, Body Spirit

You know how you instantly feel close to someone when they just “get you”?  You feel like you see the world through the same lens.  We can be that person for our horses, when we understand how they are experiencing the world.  You may be surprised by how differently from us, our horses see, hear and feel “reality”.  Take this fascinating tour through the equine senses and learn how you can use that knowledge to build a greater connection (greater “WE”) with your equine friends.

Segment 2: Preparing The Rider - 27 min. 32 sec. Day 2 Ourselves; Mindset, Riding, Health

“What is your ‘WE’?”  “WE” is the word I use to express the unique connection between you and your horse.  We all want to have an amazing “WE”, but horses can trigger every possible emotion in the spectrum.  Some days you will leave the barn high as a kite and others you will drive home plotting how to get out of horses forever.  Horsemanship is not a journey for the meek at heart.  Come join us as we prepare ourselves to: show up with our heart wide open, learn to sense chi/energy, develop our personal chi, learn to quiet our Monkey Minds, and share hallowed time with our horses.
